Today, my younger sister gave me some samples of Histolab 47, 50, 62, and 72 serums. She said that she had tried them and they were working well for her, so she wanted to give me a full set. I don’t know why she was so generous, but I’m grateful!
The weather is beautiful today, with cool temperatures and a gentle breeze. It’s a nice change from the hot, humid days we’ve been having. I’m feeling happy and full, so I decided to take some time to write a review of the Histolab serums. I asked my husband to take some pictures for me.
A. Overview of Serum Histolab 47 | 50 | 62 | 72
I received four samples, each in a different color: ruby red, purple, green, and blue. In addition to the signature colors, the Histolab 50ml and 150ml glass bottles also prominently display the percentage of the active ingredient.
This feature has led the skincare community to shorten the names of the serums to Histolab 47, Histolab 50, Histolab 62, and Histolab 72. The full names and active ingredients of each type are as follows:
- [Specialized product] Histolab Vita C Complex Ampoule – active ingredient is Vitamin C at 47%. Function is to brighten the skin.
- [Specialized product] Histolab EGF Complex Ampoule 50 – active ingredient is EGF protein at 50%. Function is to prevent aging, firm the skin, prevent wrinkles, and prevent crow’s feet.
- Histolab Hyaluron Complex Amoule – active ingredient is Hyaluron at 62%. Function is to moisturize and soothe the skin.
- Histolab Azulene Complex Ampoule – active ingredient is Azulene at 72% – a blue organic compound. Function is to reduce inflammation, reduce redness, reduce swelling, improve dry and sensitive skin conditions. Suitable for general acne care.
All four samples are part of the Home Care List line of home care products and belong to the Derma science group: Designed to care for the skin, can be used after laser therapy, with the principle of helping the skin to recover from damage, and increase the resistance of the epidermis.
I would like to add that the manufacturer’s website clearly states that the two types 47 and 50 are labeled as specialized, which means that they have the effect of treating specific symptoms. The 62 and 72 lines are mainly for supporting and nourishing the skin.
A side note that I want to mention is that Histolab has been officially distributed in Vietnam since 2011-2012. But probably at that time, social media was just in its infancy. Communication and marketing methods followed the old style, so the brand’s reach was not large. It wasn’t until later that it began to become more popular. According to my assessment, people in their 30s and above are less familiar with the brand, but people in their 20s, that is, those born around 2000, are more familiar with the Hisolab brand.
B. Analyze each type of Serum Histolab Line
1. Histolab Vita C Complex Ampoule | serum histolab 47
This is a specialized serum containing a complex of Vitamin C with a concentration of 47%. The product has 3 main effects: whitening, moisturizing and soothing.
The strange thing is the soothing effect. In the past, when I experienced serums containing vitamin C in general, for example the Tiam My Signature Red C Serum, I often felt a tingling sensation, a slight burning sensation if I just used it.
And the common requirement when using these products is to avoid the sun, and usually only use them at night. But with the Histolab Vita C Complex Ampoule whitening serum, it has the ability to soothe the skin.
The main ingredients are 47% Vita C, SRGF H1 Complex. Sodium Hyaluronate provides and retains moisture (a very familiar ingredient in skincare products). Arbutin at a rate of 2%. Aloe Vera – this is the extract from aloe vera that is responsible for cooling and soothing the skin.
I would like to add that the active ingredient SRGF H1 was researched and developed by the parent company of Histolab, Medians, and is registered with patent number 10-1679310. This active ingredient is the foundation of most of their products.
Its nature includes growth factors and peptides. Peptides are a type of molecule consisting of amino acids linked together by peptide bonds. If the peptide has a length greater than 50 amino acids, it is called a protein. These proteins are the basic building blocks of collagen, which is the structure of the skin.
The whitening effect is due to Vita C at a rate of 47%. Arbutin at a rate of 2% has the effect of whitening the skin (Arbutin is a derivative of hydroquinone, a natural compound found in plants such as plums, mulberry trees and taro roots).
The difference between whitening and whitening? How important are these two concepts in choosing a whitening product? I have a detailed analysis of the two concepts in the link below.
What is Brightening and Whitening
Texture serrum Histolab 47
Histolab 47 has a rather thin and transparent texture. Apply it to the skin very quickly and absorb quickly and cool. Especially there is no feeling of burning or tingling like the whitening products containing vitamin C in the past (before the 2000s). Clearly, technology has advanced too much now.
The sample has a capacity of 1.2ml and I have used it to apply evenly and all over the face. When you use the same amount, you do not have to hesitate.
As for the scent, you have to sniff carefully to notice a faint smell. Very light beer smell. Anyone who has ever had covid and impaired sense of smell will surely find it difficult to recognize.
Histolab’s light-duty serum line is really easy to use and you don’t have to worry about irritation, burning, or paying special attention to the sun.
2. Histolab EGF Complex Ampoule | serum histolab 50
This product is the second specialized serum line from Histolab. The product contains 50% EGF. The special effect of it is aimed at stimulating the regeneration of the epidermis, increasing skin elasticity, and slowing down aging.
The factor that makes the product do that is thanks to EGF. Epidermal Growth Factor (epidermal growth factor) is a type of protein that is mainly produced by cells in the skin. It also has the effect of promoting cell division, increasing collagen and elastin production, and stimulating skin cell regeneration.
It is also necessary to mention other active ingredients used to enhance the effect of histolab serum 50, including:
- Topical adenosine: includes A2A and A2B receptors that immediately stimulate collagen production, make skin elastic, correct sagging, and fill in wrinkles and crow’s feet.
- SRGF H1, Trehalose and Lecithin are used for moisturizing and antioxidant.
Texture serum histolab 50
This product is a bit thick and the color is a bit cloudy compared to type 47. Therefore, before using, you should cleanse your face and then use toner before to make the skin moist and easy to absorb the serum. When applying, try to massage a little bit for it to absorb quickly.
As for the scent, it is very light and fleeting, but it is easy to make an impression because it has a characteristic chamomile scent. I had to take 5 minutes to remember this smell.
3. Histolab Hyaluron Complex Ampoule | serum histolab 62
This serum contains 62% hyaluronic acid complex, which helps to replenish moisture and keep the skin soft and smooth. It also contains a list of moisturizing compounds, including rose water, aloe vera, and snail secretion filtrate.
The serum also provides nutrients to the skin with extracts of grapefruit and aloe vera. With the list of compounds mentioned above, Histolab Hyaluron | serum histolab 62 moisturizes the skin by combining two techniques: Moisturizing and Hydrating.
What is moisturizing and locking? Moisturizing and Hydrating concept. What is the difference between moisturizing and locking in moisture? For the above questions, please read the detailed analysis below.
How Histolab applies two moisturizing methods in products

Texture serum histolab 62
The serum has a thick texture like the 50 serum, but it is clear instead of cloudy. It also absorbs faster on the skin. When finished, the skin feels smooth and soft, as if there is a layer of moisture on the skin. The smell is also light and hard to recognize, like the other types, I cannot describe what it is like.
4. Histolab Azulene Complex Ampoule | serum histolab 72
The active ingredient of this serum is Azulene, which is a blue organic compound. Histolab also uses this color for the bottle to identify it.
The functions of this serum include: protecting the skin, balancing oil and moisture, and soothing the skin. But to clarify its function, we must say more about the Azulene 72% active ingredient:
Azulene mainly consists of glucoside, thiamine, flavon, adenine, vitamin a|b, iron, zinc, and copper. It is usually extracted from chamomile or castor oil.
Azulene has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties: when used on the skin, it has the effect of reducing irritation, reducing redness, and supporting sensitive skin.
In addition, the compound also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Therefore, in addition to skincare, it is also used to treat dandruff on the hair and in oral care products. Therefore, this Histolab Azulene serum is suitable for daily use for people with sensitive skin. It balances oil, prevents and treats acne, reduces sebum secretion, and tightens pores.
Texture serum histolab 72
This product has a thin and transparent texture like water. To the point that if the skin is healthy and does not need too many care steps, you can use it without skipping the toner step.
I am telling the truth, not blowing smoke. It is thin and cool, so of course it absorbs very quickly. And I don’t smell it at all. When using, you should apply it to the palm of your hand first and then spread it evenly, otherwise it will flow out. This fluidity makes it extremely suitable for people with sensitive skin, acne, and damaged skin. When using, you will not need to worry about the skin being stuffy.
C. Conclusion
I have finished the task of analyzing the 4 most popular Histolab serums in the Vietnamese market. The choice of product depends on the needs and constitution of each person. However, I highly appreciate Histolab products, especially in the following aspects:
- Easy to use. This is due to the new technologies in the products, which minimize the use of irritants. The products also use familiar active ingredients, but they are extracted with new technologies, so the efficiency is increased and the disadvantages before are eliminated. I am referring to the serum 47 containing vitamin C derivative, which whitens the skin but does not irritate the skin.
- Investment in research and product improvement with new, more effective and safe active ingredients, eliminating artificial fragrances.
- The consistency and simplicity of choosing within each product line. The information announced is quite complete for each product line, along with a complete skincare routine.
Quick summary of 4 Histolab serums:
