With the skillful ability of Chinese production workshops. Along with the greed of the low-grade business world in the Vietnamese market. The situation of counterfeit goods is always at an alarming level. Not just cosmetics but also spread to pharmaceuticals. Caryophy cleansing water bottle is no exception.

So how to distinguish between authentic and fake caryophy cleansing water? Is it difficult to distinguish between real and fake caryophy cleansing water?

Here are some methods to help consumers distinguish between authentic and fake Caryophy cleansing water. These methods are arranged in order of reliability from high to low. And I think the most accurate one is still check Hidden Tag.

  • Scan Hidden Tag code using HiddenTag app
  • Scan QR code using Zalo
  • Scan barcode using iCheck.

1. Note about Hidden Tag position on Caryophy makeup remover

Caryophy cleansing water comes in 3 sizes: 60ml, 300ml, and 500ml. In general, they look very similar. However, there are some features that can be used to identify them.

  • The 500ml bottle has the Hidden Tag code directly on top of the QR code.
  • The 300ml bottle has the Hidden Tag code separately, on the left side of the label on the back of the bottle.
  • The 60ml bottle does not have the Hidden Tag code.

To check the authenticity of the product, consumers should install the Hidden Tag app on their phone and scan the Hidden Tag code on the body of the product.

2. Scan QR code with Zalo app

Apart from using Zalo, you can actually open the camera app on your phone and point it near the QR code on the bottle of Caryophy cleansing water. The app will display a link. If the link leads to the Caryophy Korea website, then the product is authentic.

The QR code can be easily created by anyone. There are many online websites that allow you to create a QR code with hidden content in just 30 seconds. Therefore, I do not think this checking method is very reliable.

3. Scan barcodes with iCheck app

iCheck is a barcode scanning app developed in Vietnam. After registering their products with the Vietnamese domestic authorities, manufacturers/distributors will be granted barcodes for those products. iCheck uses the registered product data to compare information and detect authentic/counterfeit products.

However, Caryophy is currently imported from South Korea and its products are not registered with the Vietnamese standard barcode system (they only use Hidden Tag and QR codes). Therefore, iCheck cannot be used to verify Caryophy products.

It is also worth noting that the level of counterfeit barcode manufacturing has increased. Therefore, I believe that the iCheck verification method is no longer guaranteed.

4. Note about the bottle of Caryophy makeup remover 60ml

The Caryophy 60ml cleansing water bottle does not have a Hidden Tag code. In particular, the manufacturer in South Korea does not offer this 60ml size (only 300ml and 500ml).

The suspicion is that some importers have ordered the packaging of the bottles to be manufactured, and then refilled the large bottles into 60ml bottles to diversify the product line, in order to sell it more easily.

The advice is that customers should only buy the 300ml or 500ml bottles to ensure the best quality and avoid counterfeit and poor quality products.
